High School Physics Virtual Lab Simulation Competition — Virtual Simulation Empowers Experimental Competition
On July 27, the 2026 Jiangsu Provincial Primary and Secondary School Student Experiment Ability Competition Finals officially kicked off at Jiangsu Yancheng Middle School. This year’s finals set four core stages: written exam and virtual lab simulation, individual experiment operation, collaborative experiment inquiry, and inquiry report writing — comprehensively and deeply assessing students’ scientific literacy.

In the virtual lab simulation event, Juedao Technology continued to serve as the official software service provider, delivering technical support and full-process guarantees. Compared with last year, the finals further expanded virtual lab simulation from high school physics into high school chemistry, helping the competition continuously break new ground in digital assessment and broaden the application boundaries of technology-empowered education.

01 · The Virtual Lab Simulation Event

The question-setting for the high school physics virtual simulation experiment was led by an expert team centered around special-grade teacher Xu Rui. The team, adhering to a rigorous and pragmatic academic spirit and building on curriculum standards while going beyond them, carefully designed experimental questions that combine foundational, comprehensive, and innovative elements — aiming to truly assess students’ core physics experimental literacy.
This year’s competition questions, built on the Juedao Physics virtual Physics lab electricity virtual simulation platform, required candidates to complete the design and inquiry of two electricity experiments:
Experiment 1: Measuring Electromotive Force and Internal Resistance of a Power Source
This experiment assesses students’ deep understanding of the closed-circuit Ohm’s law and their ability to apply it experimentally. Students must complete the full process of circuit design, equipment selection, data acquisition, and data processing.

Experiment 2: Measuring Microammeter Internal Resistance Using the Half-Deflection Method
Focusing on a classic method in electricity experiments with increased difficulty, this experiment requires students not only to independently design the experiment, select appropriate equipment, and complete operations, but also to conduct in-depth analysis of systematic error sources, design improvement schemes to reduce errors, and verify the improvements with modified circuits.

The two experiments combine varying difficulty levels with clear gradation, introducing bold innovations on the foundation of traditional experiments.

Competition questions no longer stop at simple operational verification. Instead, they require students to independently complete the full inquiry process — from experimental scheme design, equipment selection, and circuit connection to data recording, processing, and analysis. On top of that, students must calculate experimental errors, analyze error causes, design improvement schemes, and implement verification.

This progressive assessment logic truly achieves deep evaluation of physics experimental literacy, with both discriminative power and selection quality.

02 · Virtual Simulation Makes Physics Visible and Tangible

The Juedao Physics Virtual Lab inquiry platform is designed around the principles of “autonomy, openness, and scientific rigor.” It comprehensively covers core physics domains including mechanics, electricity, electromagnetism, and optics, building a highly flexible digital experimental environment for teachers and students.

The platform supports advanced features such as free experimental model building, arbitrary parameter setting, and custom script editing — breaking through the limitations of fixed equipment in traditional laboratories. Every experimental scheme can be instantly visualized and verified in virtual space. The platform comprehensively assists teachers and students in building dynamic, visual physics models and scenarios, transforming abstract physics concepts into observable, interactive, and inquiry-driven concrete experiences.
03 · Advantages and Significance of Virtual Simulation Technology

Introducing virtual simulation technology into the provincial primary and secondary school experiment ability competition is not only an innovation in competition format, but also a diversified transformation of educational evaluation concepts. Combining traditional experimental assessment with virtual lab simulation experiments demonstrates unique value in physics competitions:
Virtual simulation technology expands physics experiments from the single mode of “verifying known conclusions” to a scientific practice paradigm of “independent design, free inquiry, bold hypothesis, and rigorous verification.” In a virtual experimental environment, students are no longer passive operators but active inquirers — precisely the kind of scientific literacy and thinking quality needed to cultivate top-notch innovative talents. When virtual lab simulation experiments are incorporated into the provincial competition system, it sends a clear signal: it is not just an assessment tool, but a revolution in teaching thinking.

Promoting Teaching, Learning, and Innovation Through Competition
From the laboratory to the competition arena, and from the competition arena back to the classroom, virtual simulation technology is becoming a key bridge connecting experimental teaching with scientific evaluation. Juedao Technology is honored to deeply participate in this educational transformation, providing solid support for the digital upgrading of primary and secondary school experiment teaching in Jiangsu and across the country through professional technology platforms and full-process guarantee services.
In the future, Juedao Technology will continue to deepen its work in the virtual simulation laboratory field, continuously iterating products and deepening teaching-research integration, using technology to ignite the scientific dreams of more young people and contributing technological strength to the high-quality development of basic education in China.
