Welcome to a new semester of science class, everyone!

The most fascinating thing about primary science is discovering questions in everyday phenomena and personally observing, investigating, and uncovering the hidden secrets behind them. In reality, the path of exploration often runs into small obstacles: some experiments take too long for limited class time; observing lunar phases or exploring natural ecosystems requires activities outside the classroom, which are frequently constrained by location, weather, and safety concerns.

These challenges — things that are hard to see, too far away, inconvenient to do, or impossible to visit — keep many wonderful hands-on learning experiences trapped in two dimensions.

This autumn, China's Guide to Learning-by-Doing Initiative in Science Education at the Compulsory Education Stage officially took effect, advocating "student-centered, interest-driven, practice-based" learning. The guide explicitly mentions: encouraging schools with the right conditions to make rational use of digital technologies — including computer modeling, generative AI, and virtual simulation experiments — to support learning activities.

Why do day and night alternate? Why does the moon have phases? What do the eight planets of our solar system look like? These topics are all around us, yet observing them on a grand scale isn't easy. In the primary science VR system, everything is brought within reach: students can fly into space for a bird's-eye view of the solar system, watch the moon go through its phases day by day, and even "dive" inside the Earth to see what's hidden beneath the surface.
